Surrounded by fields of sunflowers and wheat in the rolling hills of the unspoiled Val di Chiana (the Chiana Valley), this lovely and recently restored Tuscan holiday rental is located between Siena and Arezzo, very near the charming medieval hilltop village of Lucignano.

Podere Dadino is a two-story stone and brick farmhouse, typical of the area. It has been carefully restored, retaining the original elements of brick arches, beamed ceilings, and some interior walls of exposed stone and brick.

This is an ideal holiday home for a family with visitors, two families, a group of friends, or those on sabbatical looking for a peaceful place to write and recharge.

We (the owners) live in the USA, and rented houses in Tuscany for 25 years before finding, buying, and furnishing Podere Dadino in 2005 and 2006. In our years of renting other houses, we had many good experiences as well as some that were disappointing, so we knew what we wanted and what makes for a satisfying stay in the Tuscan countryside. Our goal is that you feel at home when you come through the door, and that everything is in place to make your stay both relaxing and memorable. It is our vacation home too - and we are very demanding! We have a lifelong local man (1 kilometer away) who takes excellent care of the garden and grounds and is available for any repairs or problems. A very efficient young woman oversees the house cleaning and can also provide Tuscan home cooking for your family or group. The swimming pool is professionally cleaned and serviced every week. And finally, our friendly and bilingual (English-Italian) American property manager in nearby Florence will make sure all is well.
